Global Information Summit 1999
`The Emerging Network Economy`
Date: Friday, March 12, 1999
Venue: Nikkei Hall (Otemachi, Tokyo)
A net-based economy is emerging, an economy with new values and new vistas that go beyond anything previously experienced. This economy has already begun to affect the way companies in finance, distribution, and other sectors do business, and it is also bringing changes in how we live as consumers and in how governments are administered. The "Global Information Summit 1999" provides a forum to consider and discuss how government and the private sector should meet the challenges and obstacles before them. To prepare for the summit, we will be holding a "Global Information Summit 1999 On-line Conference" on the Internet as well.
