Last year's appearance

The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly changed the fabric of our society and economy, through the spread of remote working, expansion of online shopping and so on. At the same time, some observers have pointed out that Japan has fallen behind in the digitalization of various fields, including government, healthcare and education. Looking ahead to the post-new normal era, when the pandemic will finally be wrapped up, demand is rising for the construction of a strong and flexible “resilient society,” based on digital technology in arenas ranging from management and business to workstyles and social life.
At Global Digital Summit 2021, influential business managers and experts from Japan and overseas who are leaders in digital technology have been invited to speak on the theme “Post-New Normal: Towards a Resilient Society.” The invited speakers will discuss directions society and business should pursue in the post-new normal era. Topics such as mobility to support next-generation infrastructure, digital transformation (DX) and workstyles will take the spotlight.

To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection, the summit this time will be held without audience at the venue, and will be streamed live on "NIKKEI CHANNEL", Nikkei's video content portal site.
Anyone can watch the streaming video through this site without prior registration.
