OUTLINE
As the practical applications of technologies such as AI, big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT) continue to expand, it is predicted that in the near future the abilities of computers will exceed those of humans, leading to a culture with ever-accelerating technological developments, a phenomenon known as the “singularity”.
The theme for this year's Global Digital Summit is “Facing Challenges of Singularity”. Experts and leaders of prominent tech companies from both inside and outside Japan will be discussing themes such as the evolution of AI and its effects on the economy, as well as trends related to 5G networks and cyber security.
