 Mr. Fran Rooney

Fran has led Baltimore Technologies as Chief Executive Officer since 1996 when the company consisted of only 6 people. He recruited the key management team to drive the rapid growth of the company making it a global leader in the provision of e-security products, services and solutions. The company now employs over 800 people and operates out of 28 offices worldwide.
With a background in Software, Computer Security, along with extensive experience in Banking and Finance, Fran instils the vision to lead Baltimore forward in the rapidly growing e|security market. His prior experience includes key roles with National Irish Bank, where he headed up the Bank’s Credit Card and Asset Finance Division, the Irish Government and Post Office, International Investments & Underwriting Limited (IIU), Quay Financial Software (QFS) and Meridian International, which was a successful start-up.
Fran is a former soccer player and enjoys most sports. His current main sporting interests are kick boxing and golf. Fran was presented with Business Person of the Year 2000 by the President of Ireland.
