Group Director,Strategy and Development, BT
Pat was appointed Group Director Strategy and Development in April 2000, where he is charged with managing BT's strategy for the 21st Century. He is also a member of the Executive Management Board, BT Plc.
In January 1996, Pat was appointed to the role of Director and later, President of BT Europe and member of the BT Worldwide Board, tasked with continuing the development of BT's expansion in the post-liberalised European market. Under Pat's leadership BT Europe has grown to include twelve equity joint venture companies and five subsidiaries, with over twenty million Internet, mobile and fixed services customers, generating over 6bn in revenue annually.
In April 1994 Pat lead BT's expansion and investment programme overseas as Director of Business Development.
Upon joining BT in 1985, Pat became heavily involved in both domestic and international business development in his role as Commercial Advisor to BT UK and later, as Commercial Director.
After graduating from Warwick University where he studied Economics and Industry, Pat spent eight years with Racal Electronics Group managing international projects for their Communications Systems Division in Europe, the Middle East and South America.
